No it isn't. They have laptops that has everything they need. If she needs an alarm for the morning get her an alarm clock. Put parental controls on what apps she can download and put a parental code in the phone that you have to put in when she wants to download something. Turn off her screen time every night. Make her put her phoen in your room every night.

If you are going to take her phone away then let her text her friends saying she wont have it so don't get upset when she doesn't text back.
