Played CM for the first time in over ten years. I think I only played it once before and really did not remember the course....but was pleasantly surprised by #16 being such a short Par 4. Hit a great drive that bounced off top of the bunker bern onto the green and ran to about 6 feet from hole - - - drained the putt.

I've got to imagine there are more eagles and eagle putts on this hole than any other hole in the area.

Do you have one on this hole or have you played with a group and seen one on ths hole? I'm sure there must be many. Just curious

I would think #7 at CM has more eagles than 16.

You just got lucky that you didn't go in the bunker

I’ve seen and have a few eagles there.
My buddy laid up with an iron and jammed it from 100 out

I’ve seen the flag stick rattled off the tee a couple times, but never an ace.

I agree.
I’ve seen more on #9 than both these.

You're going to have more eagles and eagle putts on par 5s.

As for par 4s, it's one of the few short 4s where you can drive the green, so I'd agree with that.

What kind of shape is it in?

It was it pretty good shape. A buddy of mine who belongs to CCL was telling me it is rough but no - - I did not see that at all. Solid B+

I played it last weekend for the first time in years. I stayed away because of all the negative reports but it was my last resort because I decided to play last minute and they had tee times. I was pleasantly surprised. There were a few greens that needed work, but overall course was in decent shape. That was always one of my favorite layouts and it brought back some good memories. That will be the course I will go to if I need a good confidence booster. Lots of possible eagles on that course, which makes it fun

We had 2 eagles on 1 in our group. I had 3 eagle putts(1,9,16) that day, but sucked with my putter that day and didn’t get any.

Very cool stuff. This confirmed what I was thinking - - namely that this course can produce some low scores. Me? I'm a solid 20 ( but getting better) so I did not light thge world on fire, but I bet some of you guys really have fun on this course.

Thanks for the replies.

Fun course, 6 par 5s is it?
Dont know which hole it is cuz it's been several years. Uphill par 5, OB right. Water or maybe it was sand short left of green. My only eagle there

Maybe number 10? But I think it’s a par 4?

About a month ago I played there with a buddy. Caught up to a single on #7. I drove that green and two putted for birdie.

On #16, all 3 of us drove to the fringe on a front left pin. The guy we paired up with chipped in for eagle, while my buddy and I both chipped close for birdies. 8 strokes on that hole between 3 people is pretty solid.

I think we were 11 strokes as a group on #15. Stupid game.

Love the layout, but the greens are painfully slow every time I've gone out there. Last time was a few Saturdays ago and much of the course was soaked despite a few weeks of dry weather. Maybe they over-watered?

It has a lot of potential but seems like they can't quite figure out how to get it in really nice shape.

Number 14 just gives me fits. It doesn’t fit my eyes very well.

Same. It seems like I always end up in the trees on the right because I don't want to be in the junk on the left. I need to just change the way I play that hole.

And frick #12 as well.
