Always keep in mind in these trials… the defendant HAS committed murder. There is zero doubt of that.

The word is homicide. Murder is about intent. All murders are homicides. Not all homicides are murders.

Fair enough on the wording. I ran with OPs wording in my haste and I'm generally way more specific than that.

The point I was making is that Kyle did kill someone, two in fact. That will ALWAYS be reviewed and THEN a determination is made if the state thinks it was justifiable or not. And THEN if the state determines it was not, you will have to defend yourself in court that it was. (or in the case of wisconsin, they have to prove it was not justifiable).

don't forget

- accepted responsibility IMMEDIATELY and even attempted to render aid to rosenbaum before the mob forced him to run
- tried to turn himself into police and got pepper sprayed
- turned himself in at the first opportunity and told the police what he did
- never lied as far as i can tell about anything that happened.

in other words, the mob is after him because he acted like a responsible adult and accepted responsibility for his role in everything that happened that night.
