We offered Marcus freeman more than ND and he still chose ND. Sometime it isn't about money

This is a different situation because $12 mill is a hell of a lot more than a DC salary but Riley is making $7/8 right now I imagine OU can pony up to $10 and he would be content with that.

Other than money, I also think quality of living and ties to the school might matter.

I don’t know much about the quality of life, etc. at Oklahoma is better, but he’s lived most of his life in Lubbock, TX, which is right next to Ok.

As far as ties go, he’s coached at Oklahoma since 2015 and been head coach since 2017. Not very long really.
He has a young family (one daughter looks to be no older than 2 or 3 years old). Not like they have too many ties holding them down.

The thing is, he was gonna choose LSU, it was his wife who told him no, the reason for saying no, she met Ed when she was there and she saw the leaked picture of him in bed with a woman. And she told Marcus “I don’t want you working for that man”
