The base MSRP must be somewhat of a gimmick. Average price paid is 29k and base is 20k? So 50% increase in price for the average options?

I think I read over at Jalopnik that Ford isn't even sending the 20k base model to dealers. You have to special order it. It's basically a price point created to get people in the door so they can be upsold the ones with more options.
