Don't be so sure. They have been available in the US aquarium trade for well over 40 years. Not a chance in hell that some haven't been released into inland waters.

Granted I have no idea prolific they are, but I'm thinking they'd easily adapt and be quite content.

I think I remember a couple piranhas were found in the LSU lakes not too long ago.
