You said it all right there... That's why he makes the big bucks. If he doesn't put it in the endzone and opts to take the 3pts at the end, Auburn changes their game plan to "Just get in field goal range" and we probably lose. He's one crazy SOB, but he really does take calculated risks, and until that changes, I can't wait to see what he comes up with next.

I don't think that it was a gamble at all every coach that i know would run their two minute offense when its time to run the Two Minute offenese

My thoughts were the better risk was to kick the FG with no time remaining on the clock. Assume LSU gets the first then taken a knee that would have forced Auburn to burn their final two timeouts and LSU could have run the clock down to 4 or 5 seconds leaving no time for Auburn to do anything.
