Right. Woodward is the kind of AD who makes Saban and CUM say no before moving on to others. He’s not going to hire Napier this fast.
Edit: not saying Saban would ever consider coming back but you gotta at least make him say no.

No, you don’t. The best thing someone can do as a recruiter is to recognize who you can and, more importantly, can’t go after.
We would look like such bitches if we actually went to Saban right now, and there’s not a snowballs chance in hell he’s leaving Bama for us.
So, no…you don’t make Saban say no. Urban, sure…but he may have his own set of issues after last night.
Woodward is also not going after an old Saban, knowing he’s gonna have to replace in not too long. He’s gonna go after a young, hot coach with a to of upside, or an establishment mid-career guy that has proven to be a winner.
