How we handle their run game will decide the outcome. We can’t just play ‘chase him 30 yards downfield or here’s 8 free yards before contact’ and expect to win. The DLine will do their job but the LBers have to show up

Probably not. But Clark will pile up the tackles 10-12 yards down the field so posters here can declare him an all-American.

Stack the box and put our CBs on an island and we will shut them down offensively easily, our DBs overmatch their WRs by a lot.

The real numbers are 4 ypc against Penn State for tank. The other games seriously inflated the stats.

It’s pretty simple to me run blitz all day long and let the qb’s beat you with their arm.

Auburn is averaging 4 yards before contact on runs. I assume that’s probably inflated bu some long runs where he was untouched but their line still gets push.

The D-line needs to play the pass after they have stopped the run this game and strong, Clark, and Baskerville need to stop people in their tracks. No falling backwards.

Having Gaye back will be huge, I see a lot of D-line personnel being Gaye, ferrel, Logan, smith with subbing in Roy, Guillory, and evans.

Missing Anthony hurts with this game.

Anyway, LFG!

I think the real question will be: can we run the ball? If we can have success through the air like we've had all season and rush for 150 yards then we put ourselves in a position to control the game.

This is the game where we truly see what our team is. Auburn is very similar to UCLA in that they will play physical upfront and establish the run

BJ and Gaye have to set the edge. Gaye struggles the most with this

Clark and Baskerville have to shine. They did terrible against ucla. Guessing on wrong gaps or reacting way to late.

Yeah, I say we stack the box and make them prove they can beat us through the air.

I didn't watch the Auburn game last week but he was held to 3.3ypc for 60yds and 0 TDs. Their other RB did better 6.2ypc for 62yds.

Idk what defense GA State was running, but maybe that's what we need to do against Auburn.

Our D line is very good, if our LBs come to play then we should be fine

Load the box and stop the run, and dink/dunk 5-yd passes. Make their QB, whomever it is, beat us in the air. Pressure their QB into mistakes with the ball, tackle well, and cover well. We got this.

Their offensive line is pretty bad. He’ll still get his yards though.

Auburn's WR corps is weak again this year. It's why they've had to get transfers like Robertson. I think we can go man to man even with Stingley out, thus allowing for more men up front..

But it's not just Bigsby. Hunter might be even better.

Sure. Start Maason Smith and Jacquelin Roy at DE tell th don’t worry about getting to Finley just hold the edge. Use Guillory, Ferrell and Evans inside and tell Ojulari and Gaye this is just not their game to see as much action besides obvious passing downs. Then you actually play 3 LBs instead of 4-2-5 with Bugg Strong being the 3rd LB. Have one of Ward or Burns in the box at all times with the other back as the last line of defense when Finley tries to go play action over the top and tell Ricks and McGlothern they are on their own the entire game.
