I keep hearing great things about the Asian Seafood House on Florida and Sherwood, with some comparing it to Omi. Since Omi and Nine Dragon Noodle House shut down Ive been missing good Chinese.

The correct answer is Lee's Asian Fusion...but, it's in Watson

In BR proper, Asian Seafood House. On the outskirts, Lee's in Watson & Foo Chow in Walker. Great Taste on O'Neal is pretty solid also.

A thread on this very same topic was made a few months ago. Maybe someone can find it for reference.

I know youre talking about a different type of Chinese but I love Oriental Pearl on Sherwood and Coursey. Probably more sentimental than anything

Is there even “good” Chinese takeout in Baton Rouge (like EBR city limits and St. George)?

Lee's by a wide margin. The quality of the dishes, and friendly family like nature of the owner is wonderful. We drive all the way out from Prairieville about once a month.

I have not tried the Asian Seafood house. The only thing that gives me pause with that place is the seafood tanks inside. And I'm probably judging that too harshly based on the crazy array of things I've seen at the next-door grocery. The open rubbermaid tubs of live eels with snake-like heads was particularly fun. I have no idea if it is associated with the restaurant or simply shares a parking lot. The yelp pictures do look solid.

*eta* They were Asian Swamp Eels

The answer is Asian Seafood House on Sherwood & Florida. It’s fantastic.
