In regards to the winning fixes things...Yes. But also not entirely.

I agree it doesn't matter that much if Griff and Zion don't have a buddy buddy relationship. But you also don't want it to be weird. I can tell you for a fact Zion found the piano thing weird. Off putting.

You can win (or be at a thriving company) but if you don't like your boss/environment/culture you'll still want out. So, you can call it silly or trivial but doing strange shite that makes people feel weird negates winning to an extent.

That's not even getting into looking at how the culture Griff is trying to build hasn't even remotely happened. Staffers making fun of you in group texts isn't a good thing. Saying FAMILY and then saying bad things about Gentry behind his back goes against that culture.

So, yes, we'll deal with Zion when we see him Monday. And I'd like him around the team much more. But is it he never wanted to be here or maybe Griff hasn't built a place where Zion wants to be.

In terms of the player stuff. I think it's an even mix of good and bad. I agree he's drafted reasonably well. We'll kinda get an answer to that this season with Jax and NAW taking bigger roles. They live up to the expectations and he gets a great grade there.

But the other stuff has been BAD. SVG was a BAD hire. Trading a pick to get Steven Adams, giving him an extension, then trading another pick to move off of him was terrible. You say they still have assets to make a move and they do, but I'd rather have more assets to make that move.

And that's not even counting that right now they can use relevant picks to make a move at the trade deadline this year.
