The team doesn't need Zion to do PR and damage control, it needs Zion to be MVP caliber. It is disappointing that Zion could be more invested and lead more and isn't. But if fans aren't happy with how the team has managed the last 2 years, why do we expect Zion to be happy about it and profess his eternal, unconditional love for all things Pelicans?

The AD era failed largely because we needed AD to be something he isn't. If Zion is going to be a fair weather star then the Pels need to focus on making sure the weather is fair. Being mad at Zion for not being the next Jordan won't change a thing, acceptance of who Zion is and adjusting accordingly might.

Every era is the same. The guy in charge keeps fumbling over the roster moves during the window they have to keep their star player. We like to blame the players but the people in charge are largely responsible for the fallout.
