I bet it was drug related. This is a surface level observation based on both their Instagrams and, given their trip and purposed personalities.
She may have OD'ed on something in the middle of nowhere and he freaked. Or, she may have taken psychedelics and wandered off in the middle of Yellowstone. Or, he could have been on something and snapped/freaked out on her and killed her.

Why did so many people in this thread assume meth or drugs were in play? Is that Louisiana talking? Lol, this state is down horrible. They were interviewed by cops for over 2 hours and they found nothing relating to drugs.

Well, considering they had been engaged to be married and he decided to go on a cross-country trip with her, then he must have been pretty comfortable with her personality and it would be no big surprise.
But let's face it, odds are strong that he killed her since he came back with her van, lawyered up and didn't say a word about her not coming back with him. He won't even tell police where he last saw her or why she didn't return with him. Also, she apparently had called off their engagement because she thought they were too young, so that could play into things as well.

in the body cam footage brian says that he and GB were in a coffee shop in moab for 6 hours that morning.
The coffee shop that he says they were at is the same coffee shop that one of the couple that were murdered in utah worked at, and she worked that day.
