It’s easy for me to point the finger because I’m not Drew Brees… but would it have been that hard to just stand up for yourself? Especially when his statement was obviously taken way out of context?

Drew signed up to throw a gd football. He has a family and they were trying to drag his arse up to the sacrificial alter.

Drew Brees, despite being richer than any of us, is a nothing on the scale.

There’s two ways to frick with any man.

Take his time. Take his money.

Call Gayle. She ain’t shite either. She runs a marketing project for a bunch of athletic dudes.

I’m saying that where you are often dictates your goals and what you view as success.

If I made a year of drew Brees salary I’d probably call it a win. If I made that money year after year through hard work and destroying my body I’d probably reevaluate my goals from paying off the mortgage on my 1986 double wide and start imagining some generational wealth coupled with some projects that benefitted humanity in some ways I thought were worth pursuing.

Imagine the best job you ever had and imagine fricking it up.

I’m not saying you or I wouldn’t but I can understand the trepidation.

I’ve fricked up great gigs for way less than a moral stance. I’d like to say I’d have done differently but I definitely understand.

It’s important to keep in your mind that you are a hero to somebody. Your people are watching and you are going to be pressed hard. Do the right thing in your heart.

In my heart the right thing has never had a dollar amount attached to it. So there’s that.

Also I resent the guy posting behind me who says we are all broke dick average Joe’s. I’m not especially great at anything but I am anything but average and my penis works fine.

It appears he has landed softly at NBC. Perhaps that was his play all along?

Brees is no better than anyone else. All he can do is play football well and it pays very well.

Done more for humanity? LOL sure with that kind of money and fame you’re able to do lots of good if you want but plenty of people do good deeds and don’t shout it from the rooftops.

You sure put guys that can play a game high on your pedestal. Find some real people to admire. People that sacrifice everything for someone and some things above the Brees types.

His wife is ho-hum and his kids might be little shits for all we know. You seem to put a lot of value on superficial things. Brees sold out what he supposedly believed in for money. A giant pussy.

Maybe he didn’t sell out. Maybe he didn’t believe in the first place all the BS he was spouting before. All an act for money. Just like plenty of people. He can take that American flag he wrapped himself in before he was put under pressure while having frick you money and go frick himself.

Character doesn’t depend upon how much money you have, how your wife or kids look, how how much impact you had on the community. That’s the shallow and superficial definition. I’m talking about something deeper and Brees character pool is only 3 feet deep.

I care only because people put athletes way too high on a pedestal and it does make me mad. People need to find people with true character to admire and emulate.

Maoists will shame you, humiliate you and break you. If you let them. Don’t let them. Instead, try principle, integrity and courage. Never now to the forces of anti- freedom or tyranny. Stand your ground. Don’t be a Brees-like coward.
