My future children would be dual citizens ,but it would be because I am American and my wife is German. Everyone I know who has dual citizenship is because their parents are from different countries. Becoming a dual citizen without having a parent from there in most countries is usually not that easy and involves a long term living with a job or ownership of property and/or a business and a bunch of red tape paperwork and procedures. It is not really that easy in most if any places.
