I’ll jump in here. I play the Srixon 565s and am a 5 handicap (lowest 3.3) I know sub scratch golfers who play Ping G425s. Why?
It’s what fits our games the best. I hit the 700 series irons from Srixon and the numbers didn’t lie. 500s we’re better for me.
If you could tie a brick to a 2x4 and shoot scratch, would you?

Yep.
There is a guy at my old club Fort Bend CC that was a plus 3 handicap and he plays Ping Zings 2 and will not change for nothing.
He has taken so much money off of would be scratch players and mini tour guys, its funny.
His nickname is Radar because he is so accurate with his irons.
