Are there high quality Catholic high schools in Baton Rouge? Fickell and his wife are devout. I think he’s a long shot for you. Campbell is who I would go for. Saban wasn’t from the South.
I figure you’ll hire Napier, but wouldn’t be surprised if it’s more of the same angle with Kiffin.

About the only reason I can see fickell being intrigued is the Catholic ties and south LA.
Otherwise as I said in OP I agree long shot and frankly I think a bad fit for LSU. Very bland from what I can tell (believe me having experienced orgeron bland is not necessarily a negative) and very midwestern. Great coach but fit matters
