Brian Kelly wants to execute his entire team. Stay tuned after the break for my explosive take on the death penalty.

- ESPN, probably

You know it was a joke?

Obviously. Probably shouldn't joke like that when he's actually killed a kid before though.

It definitely was in poor taste and didn’t land, but there’s no reason for a social media freak out.

They'll say the unvaccinated players deserve it.

John McKay was the GOAT…

Following a Buccaneers loss in their early seasons, McKay was asked what he thought of his offense's "execution." He replied, "I'm in favor of it."

After the Buccaneers won their first regular season game against the New Orleans Saints during the 1977 season 33–14, McKay mused, "Three or four plane crashes and we're in the playoffs."

I mean people are going to react to it, if OJ started making domestic murder jokes on live TV people would react to that too.

I bet the first thing he says in the post game press conference is an apology about said remarks. He knew right away he f'd up saying that.

So Kelly basically butchered the joke

It didn’t bother me. I thought it wasn’t funny and weird and a dumb thing to say.

Kelly has a compulsion to kill. He can’t help himself.

Be different if he were at Miami or Ole Miss or something. He's at the largest, most well known religious university in the world and he made a comment about executing his team. Of course he's going to get lit up for that. I swear to God. Coaches are the dumbest, lack of self awareness, men walking the planet.

He was asked about in the post game presser. He rightfully noted the John McKay reference.

He them said "it was a joke, obviously" to the reporter, and the said:

"It's a joke. You actually thought I was serious? What are you, crazy?"

I'm not Kelly fan because he actually did kill a kid, but c'mon folks. Lighten the frick up. It's a fricking joke.

I bet the reporter had the biggest hard-on when he/she asked the question. Like they thought they had a big "gotcha" monent.
