Good. Got that Miami game vibe from a few years back

Seems like some of our fans feel the same.

I think that LSU is definitely a more talented team, but it's not like we haven't seen results in the past *cough* Troy *cough* where superior talent under performed by cluelessness on the sidelines.
In addition, Chip Kelly is still an elite coach, he just hates recruiting and decided to just start a bunch of young players and get them experience, while slowly making people think he is washed up. Now he is reaping the rewards of those young players having experience and is likely to put UCLA back on the map, and could easily surprise an LSU team who has an entirely new coaching staff on defense going into their first game. He will have those coaches on skates more than likely and we will have to rely upon having some super human talent to win a close one.

Then prove otherwise.

I’m more so worried about the coaching matchup with Chip Kelly vs Daronte Jones. This will be Jones’ first game coaching this defense and we saw what happened last year with Pelini vs Leech.
So honestly I need to see some results from this defense before I get all comfortable.
My concern as well and it’s valid. We’ll see Saturday. I do think LSU athleticism and size is vastly superior. I can’t fathom a defense playing as bad as they did last year

Perhaps the teams have met in the middle

I don’t know if Jones will be a great DC or not. But I am certain he will perform better in his first game than Bo did last year.

I really don't trust Kelly, though. He's played this game of chess well (occasionally) in the past...

UCLA is a team we should beat every time. I’m expecting a two score game.

We looked awful last year and if it wasn't for a thrown shoe we might have been 4-6. I am optimistic about this team, but I understand why people think we are sliding back

It’s the same damn story every year almost. We all know this ends ![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/IconLOL.gif)

Well, this is a prove it game. Kind of like Miami in 2018. It can spring us into a decent season again if it can crush us like Wisconsin in 2016.

5-5 last year doesn’t exactly strike fear in the hearts of your opponents.
