re: The only thing we really know for sure is a drillship got stuck in the GOM

This is fake news. My friend is a shell engineer. Mars / Olympus did not break loose. Also just an FYI the wells are all shut in and won’t spill oil even if the platform detached.

However there was an issue with the drillship that is concerning. I’ve confirmed that is true and have no other details. Rumors are people are hurt. My friend said he does not know why the hell the drillship didn’t leave the area days ago and circle back after the storm.
