Riding it out in the FQ. Enough beer ammo and food to ride it out. Still got power streets quiet supposedly cars on the street have been getting vandalized.

Couple hotel restaurants still open

So far some heavy wind gust and a little rain

we will get plenty of rain, but it's the wind that will be the real issue. I don't suspect this will be anything like Katrina, but potentially just as deadly, depending on what is generated with this wind. A few tornadoes and shite could get bad.

Objectively assessing the actual power (energy) of Katrina and Ida shows that Katrina had more than twice the power Ida has, even after the latter rapidly intensified this morning.

Here in Warehouse district. Just watching the rain and wind. I can see 90 and I'm surprised there are people heading towards the CCC in this wind.

outside of a loss of power, there really isn't a reason to evacuate from the warehouse district. immediately after Katrina it was mostly operable, save the lack of power in places that did not have a huge generator.

In Kennahbruh and the winds are getting bad. Have a gas/propane generator with 120lbs of propane, 10 gallons of gas and a gas stove. Sippin on my first Bloody Mary and have my gf making pancakes and bacon.

My building has a generator for hall lights and elevators, but not the apartments. Our cars are on the 4th floor with us. This place is a concrete bunker. I feel pretty safe
