If you know football, then you know it’s definitely a discussion among the players.

You don’t go 18-32 for 308/3 TDs and not have guys thinking you should start.

I’ve been on Nuss since Day 1 - he should be the starter albeit very early at such a bigtime program.

Dude is a winner/has that kill-shot in him; pushes it downfield. He’s electric. Quick feet, very good receiving ball, in-stride.

6A player of the Year; MVP at multiple camps, 7v7s...

I would bet my house you are correct.

Oh and he grew up with a Dad who’s currently the QB coach for the Dallas Cowboys.

I’ll say he will be the starter by mid-season.

Nothing against Max either, Nuss is just an extremely good QB that’s hard to sit on the bench.

FFS, have we not learned our lesson about pushing talented true freshman in the fold too early?

You have been on nuss since day 1.....and you think we should take your opinion as being objective. Jesus Christ you people are stupid. Johnson actually performed at a high level last year as a freshman, you know, against a first string sec defense, in a real game, when defenders were trying to rip his head off. Little different playing against the second team defense, in practice, wearing a yellow jersey. Jesus Christ.

I’ll take film against 2 SEC defenses (albeit one of those was Ole Piss) verses any high school film.

Max will start. Scrimmage stats are meaningless without context.

Nuss might challenge at some point, but Max is starting.
