People think I am crazy until they check into it but depending on age look into either a nanny or an au pair. We paid less than the higher-end daycares and our lives and our kids lives were much better for it as well.

I'm not trying to get in to a heated debate or get you with a gotcha. Genuinely asking. How are your kids lives much better? I see a huge social benefit to my kids going to day care. We debated the nanny thing, but ultimately decided on day care.

On topic for the thread, our daycare charges $288/wk for infant and $240/mo for toddlers. Our daycare is a church in our neighborhood. It's small, has a loving staff, and they have a good curriculum and facility. My wife used to manage a for-profit day care and vowed to never send her kids to one.

For the past year I haven't paid a dime. The state of TN has covered the bill for me. Thanks, covid.
