My two cents.
Better to have a full time starter than a series of rotation.
There is more upside IMO to having Jameis as the starter and Taysom being a flex player as he has before. Taysom even filled in for Drew when Drew was active his last few years in certain situations.
BUT if Taysom wins the battle let him take the reigns for real then.

Its weird but if its close between them JW should start so that both QB's can contribute.

I don’t care if you sign a million dollar or a dollar contract. It’s your performance that should dictate playing time.
That said, I think our offense can be much more dynamic if Winston starts and plays well. Winston biggest thing is the turnovers. If he can stop turning it over he will be fine starter for us.

Exactly. I also agree that the idea of a running QB is fun which is the only thing that makes any sense to even want Taysom to start, much less believe he’d be good at it.
But, anyone that actually watched him play had to see that he’s not consistently accurate, he didn’t process the field quickly enough, and even when he had only one read on the play, e.g., a fly route he knows he’s taking, he still held the ball too long. And when he finally threw it, it looked more like a punt than a deep throw. If he couldn’t run, he wouldn’t even be a backup QB in the league.
It’s baffling that people thought (more baffling that they still think) he would start over Winston.
On top of it all is that those who think Taysom should start also think Winston isn’t good enough to start.
I assume that after last week, no one can still believe Winston is not the starter. Unfortunately, now Taysom almost certainly won’t be as effective of a weapon at a time when we need him the most.
