Take the Gold line (metrorail) to the Memorial Park station in Pasadena, and get off there. Walk about two blocks to the free shuttle area for the Rose Bowl. Board the shuttle and it literally lets you off RIGHT IN FRONT of the Rose Bowl.

If you decide to drive to Union Station, park at their underground lot for $8 for the WHOLE DAY, and catch the Gold line from the station upstairs. If you drive to the game, parking will be well over $50 AND the traffic is NIGHTMARISH.

By the way, the fare for Metro Rail is $1.75 One way, and $3.50 round trip. Only a fool would drive to this game.
