If we treated people with covid the moment they showed symptoms, they wouldn't end up in the hospital.
If you've had covid like I have, you know the protocol is "go home and drink water. Hope you make it"
For the virus that shut down the world we do... Nothing.
I'll do ya one even further.
I had a rapid test on Wednesday AM that was negative, and they followed it up with a PCR test that was supposed to be ready the next day (Thursday). I go home and feel absolutely horrible. Spend all of Wednesday and Thursday weak and running 102 fever. Not much better yesterday, although the fever went down.
Never got a call from the doctor, so I chalk it up to flu. At 6:30PM last night, right before they close, I decide to call and just check in on the PCR just in case.
Girl on the phone goes, "Oh hehehe, oopsie! Yeah you're positive. You said you coughed some last week? You're fine for work Monday then" (meanwhile I'm still sick as hell).
That was it This is soooooo serious that we just aren't even calling people to give them results and we are giggling on the phone when they call to check in.
