This. The CONSTANT hyperbole and gross-overexaggerating is destroying their credibility.
Is there a virus? Yes.
Are there deaths being caused or contributed to by the virus? Yes.
But if you watch the news or listen to the politicians you would think there are droves of walking zombies trying to crash the gates of ERs and bodies piling up in the streets. The same people who will start a newscast with "BREAKING NEWS!" all time high in deaths!!! Then end it showing purportedly overwhelmed nurses doing choreographed dances at the purportedly overwhelmed hospitals.
We once had a President say "the only thing we have to fear is fear itself." Now our "leaders" are doing everything possible to CREATE fear among the populace even though the facts (exceedingly low death rate of the virus) seemingly don't warrant such ridiculous levels of fearmongering.

Yeah, what he said is pretty obvious and I know he isn't too popular on here but I actually have as much respect as I can have for a politician (which isn't much).
I know people are butthurt because he didn't stick stick with his party, but that's the type of people I'd rather have in Washington. Country should come first, not political party.
And I respect any politician who does the same. I don't care what party they are a member of, if they vote for something because they truly feel its the right thing to do even if it goes against their party then that shows some character (I know how the general public sees it, if that person doesn't vote for what you want them to then they are a pussy, blah blah blah, but it actually takes balls to not stick to what you are supposed to stick to).
