That is a crazy thing about music today. Unless you win a TV talent show, it is less about talent than knowing who has the money and the power to get studio time and popularity. Now people have to buy their way into Nashville. That is why new music sucks today. Unfortunately with streaming services and royalty deals, there are no more runaway successes in music; most are one and done and they are broke unless their family keeps feeding the beast of Nashville.

Opposed to back in the day when you had to get money to go to the studio then go out and convince djs on the radio to play your music?
