Love Pete’s enthusiasm for this thing. It’s so much more fun when these guys are really into it

Doesn’t hurt that winning this almost doubles his yearly salary.

Pete Alonso earns $676,775 in salary from the #Mets this year. He'll win $1 million if he wins the HR Derby.

And he's won it twice. Guy is living off those derby bucks at this point.

Wish Trey would've won but that was great and you have to feel so good for Mancini. Rockies fans even cheered him as he beat the home town Trevor Story.

It truly shows how great of a teammate he is that, to my knowledge, he's the only player that has neither pissed off or been angry at Manny Machado. That's incredible.

It’s something how McGwire hitting 13 home runs in a round at Fenway was a big deal in 1999 and these dudes are obliterating that

To be fair, I think Josh Hamilton’s 28 in round 1 when it was a 10-out format is easily the most impressive feat in an HRD

Way easier to just hack away than it is to have to make a decision whether to swing or not and then to make it a good swing. Pressure way higher in the 10-out scenario
