Guys please beware using grain-free dog food. I used it for awhile too because my dog had some skin issues I thought could be related to grain sensitivity. There have been a LOT of dog deaths from cardiomyopathy in recent years==young and seemingly healthy dogs. The common denominator was they ate grain-free dog food---ALL brands...there is a lot of research going on about it. It is not the absence of grain that is a problem. It is believed that the amount of legumes (peas lentils etc) that are substituted in these foods is causing the problem. Google it--there's tons of info. My vet asked me to take my dog off grain-free immediately until they figure out the problem.

Orijen is great but for our old dog they told us to switch to something not grain free. Which isn't easy to find. We switched to Nutro Ultra which seems to be going fine. Obviously about half the price too.
