Yeah. I grew up on Ormond CC. Maybe my dad is wrong, but he has always said that the homeowner is responsible for damage out there. The course was there first. It would be nice to pay for a broken window, but not required.

There's a lady on our course that is notorious - total piece of shite to golfers that hit into her yard.

She jumped me once, but I just started laughing at her because she wants the argument, and then just drove off. The husband just stood on the patio and didn't say a word - he's either a cuck or completely embarrassed by her, or both.

The way I understand the general rule is that if you break something, then you should offer to pay for it, but you are not required to do so, as they chose to live on a course and should have insurance for any damage.

On the flip-side, there's a dude on another hole who has had about 4 windows replaced on the back of his house and from what I hear he's cool as frick. Totally understanding and not a dick at all - has also never paid for one of the windows because he didn't come out yelling and barking at whomever broke it.
