Yes, it is. Especially if you have young/younger kids

It doesn’t sound like he’s asking for them to come over in the evenings, he’s asking for around the clock care from people that already have full day responsibilities. If he was simply asking not to be alone at night, you go over there every night and have dinner and someone stays with him. You do that until the end.

But that’s not what the OP is saying.

I have three kids under 10. If it was my wife, I would expect her to take care of her dad.
