This is what abuse of process lawsuits are for. The lady falsely pressing charges will be sued and likely the state, too. It won’t bring back the months of his life taken by being in jail, man’s dignity or reputation, but at least someone should be forced to pay.

This has always been the case. They couldn’t care less about finding the actual criminal. If they think they make it stick, they’ll do it.
