A lot depends on outcomes and upsets in Conference Tournaments. The 15-35 team that miraculously wins a Tournament is just one more slot not available to LSU.
this doesn’t apply to every league though, just a few

I think LSU needs a run in The SEC Tournament to guarantee a spot in The Regionals

I think we're in even with a loss to Georgia on Tuesday, especially if the higher seeds all win, but I'd rather not take that chance. With a win over Georgia on Tuesday, I have much less doubt about getting in.

I'd like to make a little run in Hoover. 2-2 or 3-2 would probably get us a strong 2 seed and placed in a weaker host regional. A weaker host regional would likely mean a tougher super regional, though.

Yes, 13wins got us in even if we go one-and-done in the tourney. The SEC is so strong again this year and the fact that most people assume this is CPM’s last year at the helm I think we are in at this point.

While i would like to believe we could get a 2 seed, I think we are locked in at a 3 seed

Even though it's time for CPM to retire...I doubt he's telling the boys were in the NCAA let's go to Hoover and lose.

Ahhhh nope! If they beat UGA and lose to Arky, unless something freaky happens like 8 un-ranked teams win their tourneys with guaranteed spots in the NCAA, we are in at that point almost guaranteed.

65% of SEC teams that have 14conf wins get in, and with 8 teams ranked in the top 25 in the SEC they aren’t going to leave LSU out of the tourney especially since most people acknowledge this is probably CPM’s last year at the helm of LSU.

I think if we lose a nailbiter, we still have a decent chance. If we win, we're in. If we get bombed, LSU is going to be watching the streaming video like the rest of us.

If we don’t beat UGA we’ll be like a death row inmate waiting for a pardon from the Governor... it aint happening. We need to win that game.

Honestly..... do you ever say anything good about any athletic program at LSU? I'm really asking. You dump on the football team because this or that didn't happen, you did the same thing with basketball and now you're doing it with baseball. Give it a rest. I have no idea why you do this.

I get voicing criticisms but to say it's this and that and the swan song and nonsense...... Geez.

And it's 'adieu' by the way. Just so you know.

We need a win…..every win matters now. Next team in the bracket being Arkansas momentum could help. However, this team seems to respond to pressure more than success.

If they take the same approach as they do with the selections for the NCAAT in basketball then I doubt the SECT will have much, if any bearing on the tournament selections (outside of an unexpected team winning the SECT). I think for LSU, UGA, etc. the cake is baked and the SECT will have no bearing.

Remember, in basketball LSU went into the SECT with many who analyze the selections year to year thinking they were somewhere in the 6-9 seed range. LSU then beat Ole Miss (a bubble team), Arkansas (an eventual 3 seed) and lost in the final seconds to Alabama (an eventual 2 seed). For their efforts LSU ended up being seeded lower than almost everyone assumed they would be with Wade remarking that it was clear the committee had locked in their bracket on the Thursday/Friday before selection Sunday and the results of the conference tournaments were largely irrelevant.

IMO, LSU is either in or out RIGHT NOW and this week's results (baring them winning the SECT) won't change that.
