South side of Machac Road in Spanish Lake, and most of the housing west of Bluff Road.

IIRC, Ascension Parish decided to build a school there, although they likely spent a lot of money raising it. Named it after Spanish Lake, which is the lake they decided to build it in.

Couldn’t the same be said for most of everything built south of highland from siegan to I10?

Let’s face it , all three parishes have allowed residential and commercial constructions in flood zones/natural water basins. Everything built between Nicholson and Highland road (off of its ridge ) is in part of this same basin. AP and IP’s construction idiocy has already been pointed out. The only solution is for the state to step in , but it won’t because of politics. Until then, this will occur every time we have a 6 plus inch rain event.
