Ummm... well if you actually talked to a few of them, who ironically are significantly more religious on average than your average Israeli, they don't appreciate their religion being hijacked to try and justify land grabs.
You also do realize that Jews lived in Palestine prior to the creation of Israel, right?

The Jews lived in Judea, large portion of modern day Israel . “Palestine” was created by Romans to de-legitimize Israel in order to seize control over that region. They did this after being thwarted by rebellious Jews not wishing to join the empire.
