I think it goes deeper than that. Saban seems to get 90 to 100 percent of the credit for a turnaround job that was at least half Dinardo's - if not more. Now, it is arguable that it is easier to take LSU from where Dinardo's predecessor left it to where Saban picked up than over those final obstacles. I mean, an empty chair would have been a better coach than we had between Archer and Dinardo.

But, regardless, folks seem to (conveniently?) forget how bad we were when Dinardo took over and how talented a team was there for Saban to begin with.

I've always said this. But so many Tigers and Tide fans that refuse to take my advice and go back and look at the roster that Saban inherited from Dinardo. Saban knew what he was doing when he wanted and took the job.
