ETA: Saban changed things on the field, but Emmert is responsible for the change in mindset which led to the results of the last 20 years.

ONE MILLION PERCENT accurate. To all the fans enjoying our last 21 years, The SINGLE most important person responsible for that is Mark Emmert. He gets shite on by the media because he's successful and is hesitant to fund the lesbian and other minor sports, who as a collective are a FINANCIAL DRAIN on the bottom line. But without him there is no Saban, and no golden era up to and including the greatest season ever (2019) in college football history.
