No we put together a rotation and can't score more than one run in a dam game against auburn but yet we can beat #1 arkansas...yesterday's loss was on the kids totally. Gotta hit to win...

Props to Hilliard tho. He is pitching to his potential and gonna give us a shot at the end...

If we make the tournament Hilliard could be a huge asset. Pathetic we couldn’t hit that auburn staff.

He was great yesterday, went deeper into the game than I thought he would. It was unfortunate that he didn't get much run support, he deserved better with that outing.

I like to watch Hilliard pitch, he has that nasty arse curveball that makes hitters confused. Imo he have the best curveball in college baseball.

We hit their “staff” Thursday and Friday well. The Auburn starter, like Hilliard is a veteran and was expected to have a good season. He hasn’t but yesterday he returned to form. Their reliever also had good stuff. Walks were the problem.

Yes and should have been 3rd starter as soon as Hill went down or at the very least first go to out of the pen. I’d bet my paycheck he could have gotten one out before giving up 8 runs against Ole Piss and he never saw the field

No shite.

We looked like little leaguers at the plate. Plate approach is taught by the coaches. So no, it isn't all just "on the kids."
yeah and we scored what 16 runs in last 2 games on that hitting approach and win 2 on the road because of hitting.. This lineup up is bad except Morgan and we getting chicken salad(from chicken shite, that's coaching) at least at the plate but not yesterday...loss is on the kids...not coaches

Hot take-Hilliard is a better College pitcher than Hill.

We agree. However, as i said in another thread, when Paul tries to force a hit and run into a bad scenario, you are not putting your players in a position to succeed.

It's funny that Manieri has started using Hilliard again and he's looked the part. If only he had brought Hilliard in to finish off Ole Miss and get a sweep rather than giving up 8 runs in 2 innings.

But there were lots of dead bats on the plains yesterday...

Our genius coach blew ole miss and auburn sweeps
The hit and run with no outs with pitcher clearly struggling
