Dr. Tom at Nebraska. Couldn't win the big ones until he started recruiting the thugs like Phillips and Peter*.

1973-2007
Tom Osborne finished in the AP Top 10....18 times in 24 years and only won 3 Titles, one was a split and the other was dubious (1994 Penn State).
His bowl record was 12-13. From 1987 to 1993 he lost 7 straight bowl games. A change needed to be made and we all know what happened. Enter 1994-1997 Nebraska football.
