Does anyone else respect and love Babe Ruth, but hate putting him above a couple of guys cause we think he had guys throwing him meatballs vs the evolution of the different breaking balls over the years? And also the fact that nobody on this board actually saw him play. It’s something to consider. I would never put him outside the top 5, but imagine Barry Bonds in the 30s....

Those speedy black outfielders still aren't catching those balls he hit over the fence.
