The most astonishing thing to me is a guy with an AR was not a sufficient deterrent to the other guy. Imagine an unarmed victim would look like to him.

Yeah you don't bring a sidearm to a semi-auto long gun fight. A extended mag sawed off 12 with .00 buck would've been an effective selection.
