This thread has been incredibly helpful for an old guy looking into dipping his toe into cryptocurrency; thank you to all who posted.

I downloaded and put some funds in Coinbase (very easy) and I’m going to look at the portfolios in this thread and make some buys.

Two questions:
> Are these being treated like long-term set and forget investments like many 401k elections?

> If a BTC ETF becomes available later this year, what is the right move related to Coinbase purchases?

I think most people see it as short term but there are some of us that see at is long term. Bitcoin has averaged 200% per year for over a decade as an example, so long term we have evidence you'll be rewarded

If/when the sec approves a btc etf it will likely be very bullish

BTC and LINK are two long term holds for me
ALGO, LINK, and DASH are shorter terms
