Women’s basketball has no positive impact on the athletic department

It’s a drain. The only thing you can do to not allow it to hurt worse is to not overpay for a coach

What positive impact has South Carolina’s WBB program had on their athletic department? UCONN?

This is the only correct answer. Any other answer is a non-starter. Women's basketball can be a close to revenue neutral sport if it's winning and getting into the NCAA every year and making semi-deep runs.

But you need a coach. I don't think Mulkey leaves Baylor. But if you're really a top level AD, you know how and where to find the next Kim Mulkey.
