re: Baylor played a lot of isolation ball on offense last night

That's the difference between being elite. Focusing strictly on offense, Baylor was multiple in how they could beat you on offense. They had 3 guards on the floor at all times who could each exploit their matchup to score one on one, but could also beat their guy, force help to come, and move the ball to the open shot. But it really helps when they have 4 different guards who were GREAT at relocating off the ball and all shot 40%+ from the perimeter. Then add in having Matthew Mayer as a stretch big with handles who also shot it 40%. LSU just didn't have near the shooting or the guard depth (quite frankly, no team did) to run an offense like Baylor's.
And we also didn't have a big man with any kind of rim gravity like Tchatchoua had last night on those high ball screens which also helped keep shooters open for an extra beat.
Mitchell and Butler were juniors, will probably both be first round picks, and both were great with and without the ball in their hands. Teague was a senior and will play professionally overseas next year. Vital was a senior. Mayer and Tchatchoua will also be pro prospects with another year or two of development.
