Agreed. All the instrumentation on the first Kiss record is on-point, to my ears. It's criminally overlooked as great rock album. There's not much from the band I enjoy afterwards, but their self-titled debut is really good.

frick yeah. Zach is a very unique and technical player. He basically covers the bass and rhythm guitar positions and lets Rob get a little more creative.

We're really on page 3 without a single mention of Chris Squire? You should all be ashamed.
I'll also add Them Changes by Thundercat

3 pages without a Billy Sheehan mention? The best rock bass player ever...only John Myung is close...

Dave Schools. Pick a song.
OK.... Stop-N-Go live at Classic Theater. These were some magical shows that I'm glad to have made. They are the only shows that the band didn't allow audiences to record.
This version includes John Keane on his steel guitar and is a whole lot awesome. Especially when it transitions from Mikeys solo and back to Mikey is just pure perfection.
As usual Dave just kills it on bass.

Bonus pick: The bass guitarist (Misa) in Band Maid (an all girl Japanese band) can really play bass well.
Band Maid - Onset
those sleeping on this band are missing out. Great tunes, melodies and they freaking rock hard. Be open minded and give them a listen.

He's also great on any Machine>Barstools. Especially when during the transition from Machine into Barstools.
