The ONLY thing that concerns me is that Peter Navarro has been talking about this for a few weeks now. He was one of the first to talk about the original pandemic. And my concern isn’t the variants, it’s the reaction to another “wave.” They can’t possibly think that lockdowns are going to magically work this time?
And BTW, no one is sure if the vaccine will be effective against these variants. Dr Navarro even says that antibodies won’t be effective if you’ve already had COVID.
Does Navarro have an interest in stoking fear? He was right the first time around. I don’t know what the frick to believe any more.

Kinda really stupid to identify that new variants are spreading quickly and the fix is to take the shot for the old variant
also the variant of most concern is Africa, to the extent that one country discontinued use of the covid 19 vaccination. Having 10-20% of the illegals coming across the us southern border with no health management ensures that 100-200 thousand individuals from many countries , extreme diversity, will assure that all variants will wind up here

FWIW, I believe that I had a “variant “ recently.
Headache, fatigue, a sore throat that would laugh at strep. But my lungs stayed crystal clear throughout. It was radically different than round one where I coughed for 6 weeks straight. I mowed the yard yesterday so I must have recovered somewhat. It sucked, but I fail to see how the “variant” is as concerning as the original strain.

I had something like that too recently, I think it was something like the POLLEN-19 variant I caught at this exact time last year.

In my case, this wasn’t the typical pollen related BS I have fun with yearly.
Still, I simply let it run its course and now I am getting back to normal.
Honestly, the side effects from an antibiotic they put me on (when they thought it was a sinus infection and...it wasn’t) has been the worst part of all. Achilles tendinitis and costochondritis (inflammation of the joints connecting the ribs to the sternum) has been a motherfricker. Needless to say, that antibiotic is no longer going to be used by me.

I don't listen to that fool. Navarro said this yesterday on Bannon's show. He even had a diagram of how the variants are spreading. The Brazilian strain is hitting the US do to our potato brain President allowing illegal immigrants to come into the country COVID positive.
