Live Results - Secretary of State Website

Graphical Version

Julia Letlow and Troy Carter are the favorites tonight to fill house seats and go to DC. Only question tonight is whether or not they're forced into a runoff.

Gravy finna eat

Also don’t know if I like the idea of Luke’s wife winning. Sounds like something that could backfire bigly

There's precedent for it.

Hale and Lindy Boggs anyone? Lindy won Hale's seat after he died and stayed in it for 20 years.

I’ll admit I know absolutely nothing about her but just the idea of it does give me hesitation

Julia Letlow got 58% of the early vote in Rapides Parish -- this is where her late husband did the worst in December (his opponent was from there). That's about what she's getting overall. Seems on track to win outright #la05

Letlow is leading with 60% now.

Troy Carter and KCP in 1st (42%) and 2nd (30%) with Gravy a distant 3rd at just 13% of the vote.

This is what clearing the field looks like folks, especially when the candidate is a widow.

Karen Peterson is a more incompetent version of Latoya. With an added gambling problem

Gravy is only 2 points behind Peterson......

God help us if he gets 2nd place.

I just don't understand why she is winning by such a large margin. Do people dislike the other candidates that much, or is this a case of feeling sorry for her and giving her the seat her husband had won?

She got all his votes, and she got her people out to vote.

Strange no one that ran against him took a shot vs her, except the( D). That told me this was in the bag.

Btw, about Peterson, she was a superdelegate for Hillary. She might as well concede the runoff tonight because most of Gary’s votes came from people predisposed to support Bernie Sanders

What if Gravy endorses her?

Especially with an agreement from KCP to help him in his future political endeavors?

Peterson’s camp is courting the Chambers vote already heavily this morning.

Including the former Exec Director of the State Democrat Party.
