Don’t know, everytime I turned on the radio they were talking Drew Brees. I immediately changed the channel.
LSU is in the NCAAT, just played in one of the most exciting SECT finals in recent years, and they want to spend all day talking about a player who we’ve all known was retiring for a long time now. Talk Brees when nothing else is going on. LSU basketball needs the spotlight.

A legend of the game that made his career in the local market retiring is huge news
If you didn't expect that to be the main story yesterday, not sure what to tell you. LSU was still covered plenty, and will be the story for the rest of the week. It would be irresponsible for a sports media station to not majorly cover someone like Brees retiring for one day.

They covered Drew Brees, I didn’t listen. I’m sure they will survive without my listening yesterday.

To be completely fair to Dick, he was highly complimentary of Trendon Watford, but with the game Watford was having there was basically no option.
I didn't like it but I can't fault ESPN and Vitale for bringing up the Wade stuff at least a little bit, as it is still an unsettled issue. As Cam Newton famously said, (*smile*) "It's an ongoing investigation."
The major issue I have, and the thing that was completely over the top and unacceptable for the broadcast, was Vitale openly telling prospective students (not just athletes) to consider and think twice before going to LSU. That is dipping his toes in some potential litigation, as far as I'm concerned.

It was a story in 2019, not in 2021. There is no new news on this matter, and hasn't been for a long while.

Dickhead should be labeled a "racist". He picks on teams with all Black scholarship players while ignoring the blue bloods who usually have a few White players.
