You didn’t see the video. They didn’t write out the encounter in their report.

Any reasonable person could deduce that the little shite was lying his arse off after the Chief and Mayor both saw the tapes and didn’t say anything. Best believe the chief would have taken immediate action and Broome would have came out with some kind of new ‘policy’ aimed at protecting criminals I mean citizens of Baton Rouge more. Especially with white cops involved. Instead it’s crickets or the ‘still under investigation, can’t comment’ that takes 8 months to investigate after looking at a 5 min video....

If the BLM police chief came out and exonerated the officers of wrongdoing why the frick would anyone think anything else?

Was Koy not held at gunpoint? Was he not searched?

I have been an LSU fanatic for about 55 years but the love is fading. The Moore situation is another example of why cancel culture is killing sports. He went to my old H.S. at Rummel, where I know discipline and honesty (at least in my time) was very important. The liberal media was quick to pass judgement on the officers because in their eyes the police are evil and all blacks are to be believed. So now we find out Koy Moore had his Jessie Smollett moment and a lot of people want us just to move on to avoid anymore drama at LSU. Sorry, that's not gonna fly! Moore needs to be suspended and should also issue an apology to the officers. If this hurts LSU, well, so be it! If black players or students get upset and walk out, let them! We have to make a stand, because sports has already been tainted by letting 'wokeness' be the rule. Never thought I would see the day when politics or political views control sports...sad...

You’re too old to be here on a message board talking this nonsense. I’m less than half your age and got more sense than you. Be an advocate for the truth, not some narrative.

That said, this is a teachable moment for a young man who can someday be a leader.

Jussie, Bubba, LeBron and every other race baiting POS says frick YOU to your teachable moment concept.

As for me, if there is video, I say to release it.

I don’t trust ANY of the party’s involved.

I have a feeling when this body cam footage comes out, there's going to be enough "evidence" for both sides to claim they were right.

This is quite probable.

I'm still trying to get a straight answer out of anyone who can tell me specifically what they think Koy lied about. I"m talking about facts, not Koy's or BRPD's opinion of whether what happened to him was justified or not. I haven't seen anything in the public record yet that addresses this.

His tweet said that the police tried to unzip his pants. My understanding is that he was wearing sweatpants. Sweatpants don't have a zipper.

Thank you.

That's all I can tell this "controversy" is about...not whether BRPD pulled a gun on an unarmed student and searched him for weapons without any articulable basis for doing so that we know of...but whether the officer "tried" to unzip his pants or reach into his pockets after all this other stuff occurred.

Just trying to hew this down.

Baton Rouge Morning Advocate is Communist propaganda. Define Communism and tell me I’m wrong.

Our great mayor who was quick to criticize the cops

Who knew a Democrat that would criticize law enforcement before the facts were known? Surely this can't be???

Police the world over pull their weapons on unarmed people all the time. That in and of itself should not be an issue nor should searching someone for weapons.

Are you saying black payers can do whatever they want and they will face no punishment?

Maybe BRPD had a good enough reason. I'd hope the video could clear things up but who knows. But I know if I got stopped and frisked for no good reason I'd be pissed. And I really wouldn't like it if I had guns drawn on me. I'd probably complain to social media too.

As stated earlier, I don’t trust any of the party’s involved. As such, I would have to see the video to believe anything that has been said.

You posted this same article 2 days ago. Did you write it and are trying to get more clicks?

The mayor did praise the handling of the case in a statement, saying Chief Murphy Paul has handled the issue with transparency and open communication from the beginning of the case.
Man, this dude must be putting it on Broome like something serious. What transparency? 2 incompetent people scratching each other's backs. What a world we live in. I guess it's true when people say he's Broome's little lap dog. She just gave him a belly rub.
